We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Software Developer to join our UxS software team. In this role, you will design, build, and refine tools and applications essential for Uncrewed Systems (UxS) compliance, interoperability, and automation. You'll develop key software components that support compliance assessments, secure multi-tenant UAS environments, and efficient integration of software payloads, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment with UxS and security standards. 

Functional Description:
  • Develop and enhance software tools for UxS automation and compliance, focusing on ease of use, reliability, and scalability 
  • Design, develop, and deploy embedded applications aboard various UxS platforms 
  • Build and maintain secure, multi-tenant UxS-hosted applications, ensuring robust performance in complex environments 
  • Design APls, SDKs, and other interfaces to support integration and interoperability across a range of UxS applications 
  • Write interfaces and drivers for embedded sensors and peripheral devices, with a focus on efficient data flow and secure communications 
  • Apply relevant compliance standards and best practices to develop secure, standards-compliant applications for UxS 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure, efficient integration of UxS software with a variety of hardware platforms 
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure high-performance, reliable software across the UxS lifecycle 
  • Document technical workflows, application functions, and interfaces to support future scalability, compliance, and usability 
  • Active Department of Defense Security Clearance and ability to maintain a clearance up to Top Secret 
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline or equivalent experience performing work in the functional description. 

Experience:
  • 3-10 years of experience in software development, with experience in embedded systems, loT, or similar environments 
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, and ideally familiarity with ROS/ROS2 or similar frameworks and autonomy applications 
  • Experience with containerization technology (e.g., Docker) 
  • Familiarity with Windows and Unix-based operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL) and Git for source control 
  • Ability to design clean code with strong abstraction boundaries and secure development practices 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to complex technical challenges 
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborative cross-functional work 
  • Drone or robotics experience is beneficial

This position has an annual salary range of $80,000 to $160.000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and education and in consideration of internal pay equality.
